Fall is the best time of the year in my opinion and Fall home decor is the best way to fully enjoy the spirit of the season. Rich earthy colors remind most people of the autumn season. So when decorating your home with fall decor it is definitely a good idea to incorporate them into each room.
Pumpkins are great for fall home decor they can be carved at Halloween or whole for Thanksgiving. You can set them out on the front porch or use them as table centerpieces. If real pumpkins aren’t your thing most stores sell just about anything in the shape of one. Salt and pepper shakers,plates,cups, napkin holders, table mats or just plain old fake plastic pumpkins that will never rot or need to be thrown away. You can also use squash or corn stalks to decorate. If you are feeling creative it is quick and simple to make a cornucopia centerpiece for any table.
While it may seem a little strange leaves are great to use for fall home decor. I’m not suggesting that you use real leaves since they will no doubt make a huge mess. Most craft stores sell fake leaves that at first glance appear to be almost real. Hang a wreath made out of twigs,leaves and even berries on the front door to give people the fall feeling before they even enter. A fun way to use leaves in the kitchen is to spread them out on the dining table it will make it feel like eating outdoors minus the chilly weather.
Halloween is one of the falls biggest holidays. You don’t have to go all out and turn your home into a full fledged haunted house. Put a scarecrow or two in the front yard for a fun fall decor and Halloween theme. Witches are also a great way to make your fall home just a little more spooky. Of Course you could go all out and have mummies,zombies,or vampires. For a cheap and easy way to decorate for the Halloween holiday stop by a local craft shop. They usually sell fake spider webs that can be hung in any room in the house or the front porch. Along with the web you should be able to purchase fake spiders usually they sell about a hundred for 3-4 dollars.
Thanksgiving is no doubt the biggest holiday of the fall season. Thanksgiving fall home Decor is a great way to make your house a little festive. Turkeys are the best accent for this fall home decor theme. You can buy cardboard cut outs of turkeys at most dollar stores. Use turkey shaped salt and pepper shakers that are turkey shaped. Another great theme most people over look are pies. A fake apple pie sitting on the table as a centerpiece goes great with a Fresh baked apple pie candle burning. It might even trick a few people into thinking the pie is real. Candles are a great way to bring fall into your home with scents like apple pie,pumpkin,or spice. They really add the feeling of being on a farm in the fall. while fall decor works best in the Autumn months there is no rule saying that you can’t keep your Fall decor home that way all year long. Maybe you should take down the pumpkins,witches and turkeys but the deep earthy colors on the walls and furniture give your home a warm feeling all year round.
